1. Agreement Overview

These Terms and Conditions ("Agreement") govern the rental of PCO vehicles from Zoom PCO Hire ("Company", "we", "us"). By renting a vehicle from us, you ("Renter", "Driver") agree to be bound by these terms.

2. Eligibility Requirements

To rent a PCO vehicle, you must:

• Be at least 21 years of age
• Hold a valid UK driving license for a minimum of 2 years
• Possess a valid PCO/Private Hire license issued by a UK licensing authority
• Provide valid proof of address (dated within the last 3 months)
• Have no more than 6 penalty points on your driving license
• Not have any unspent criminal convictions that would affect your PCO license

3. Rental Period and Payment

Minimum Period: The minimum rental period is 4 weeks.

Payments: Rental payments are due weekly in advance. Failure to pay on time may result in vehicle recovery and termination of the rental agreement.

Deposit: A refundable security deposit is required at the start of the rental. The deposit amount varies by vehicle and will be specified in your rental agreement. The deposit will be returned within 14 days of vehicle return, subject to inspection and any outstanding charges.

4. Insurance Coverage

All rentals include comprehensive hire and reward insurance. The insurance policy includes:

• Third-party liability coverage
• Comprehensive vehicle damage cover (subject to excess)
• 24/7 breakdown and recovery assistance

Excess: In the event of an accident or damage, you are responsible for the excess amount specified in your rental agreement. This excess may be reduced or waived with optional excess protection packages.

5. Vehicle Use and Restrictions

The vehicle may only be:

• Used for lawful private hire purposes within the UK
• Driven by the named renter only (no sub-letting or sharing)
• Used in accordance with your PCO license conditions

The vehicle must NOT be:

• Taken outside the United Kingdom
• Used for illegal activities
• Used while under the influence of alcohol or drugs
• Used for racing, rallying, or any competitive events
• Sub-let or transferred to another driver
• Modified or altered in any way without written consent

6. Vehicle Care and Maintenance

You are responsible for:

• Keeping the vehicle clean and in good condition
• Checking and maintaining fluid levels (oil, coolant, washer fluid)
• Ensuring tyre pressures are correct and tyres are in legal condition
• Reporting any damage, faults, or warning lights immediately
• Returning the vehicle for scheduled services as requested

7. Accidents and Damage

In the event of an accident or damage:

• Do not admit liability or make any statements
• Obtain details of all parties and witnesses involved
• Take photographs of the scene and damage
• Report the incident to us within 24 hours
• Complete an accident report form

You are liable for the insurance excess in respect of each claim, regardless of fault. Additional charges may apply for damage caused by negligence or breach of these terms.

8. Fines and Penalties

You are responsible for all fines, penalties, and charges incurred during your rental period, including:

• Parking fines and penalty charge notices
• Congestion charges (London, Birmingham CAZ, etc.)
• Toll charges
• Speeding fines and driving offences

An administration fee may be charged for processing fines redirected to you.

9. Termination

Either party may terminate this agreement with 7 days written notice. We may terminate immediately if you:

• Fail to make rental payments
• Breach any material term of this agreement
• Lose your PCO or driving license
• Provide false or misleading information
• Use the vehicle in a manner that voids the insurance

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our liability is limited to the direct costs of the rental. We are not liable for any indirect, consequential, or economic losses including loss of earnings or business opportunities.

11. Governing Law

This Agreement is governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
